Turame Community Finance s.a, is a Microfinance Institution approved by the Bank of the Republic of Burundi (BRB) by the approval act no. D1/073/2007, of 30 January 2007.

Turame Community Finance is working in different provinces of Burundi such as Gitega, Rumonge, Ngozi, Cibitoke, Kayanza, ….

We are seeking to fill the following position:

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION INTERN

The Marketing and Communications Intern will gain experience in building internal/external relationships with community, clients, and other partners. The intern will also gain experience in professional writing and branding. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. The primary responsibility of the Marketing and Communications Intern is to support the promotion of Turame’s products and services, in managing Turame’s communication, and branding.

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
DURATION 12 months

RESPONSIBILITIES

Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of Turame Community Finance through the development and implementation of effective marketing communications, resources, and other marketing activities/projects.

  • Respond to requests for marketing and branding support from Turame branches in coordination with the Administration team for the successful execution of projects
  • Provide technical support to departments in identifying training needs with regard to the marketing function & sensitize staff on new and existing products & services in line with the marketing program.
  • Coordinate the various service providers offering marketing, branding and communication services on behalf of Turame
  • Maintain consistent use of the Turame brand in all materials, and ensure that Turame’s visual communications clearly communicate our Christ-centered commitment and reinforce the dignity of our clients
  • Collaborate with HOPE International design team to stay up to date with visual brand developments
  • Coordinate the design and update of Turame’s products and services on various media platforms in liaison with responsible Departments and according to Turame’s products, specifications, and Business plan & policies.
  • Creates interactive social media and website contents and ensure the content remain relevant.
  • Support digitization in Turame by contributing to digital marketing activities, digital client engagement initiatives, and other systems-related digitization efforts.
  • Create graphics for marketing conte, Planning and implementation of communications strategies.
  • Coordinate any Turame media marketing programs on local radio stations, local newspapers and newsletters, TV stations etc
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by the line Manager to accomplish the mission of the institution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Personal commitment to the mission and vision of Turame Community Finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, Communications, or a related field
  • Self-motivated with a track record demonstrating the capacity to work independently.
  • Ability to liaise across departments, cultures, and time zones.
  • Excellent oral, written, and public communication skills; excellent visual communication skills
  • Must be a Burundian National. Fluency in English and French will be highly advantageous
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office software. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are desired.
